…God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.

There is much joy at harvest time, and the Agricultural Training Center (ATC) staff recently had a lot of joy at their big harvest of these large, ripe Copenhagen cabbage heads. They are always proud to give their harvests to the various kitchens at Love A Child Village, where the Children’s Home, medical clinics, and staff kitchens feed a few hundred people each day.

Fresh cabbage is a favorite in Haiti as they use it to make “Haitian slaw,” Pikliz, which is a tasty, yet spicy pickled cabbage. Remember, just a few years ago, these agricultural staff members were unemployed, had little skill, and had little hope for a fruitful life. Through your support of our “Development for Sustainability” outreaches, like the Agriculture Training Center, the Miracle Marketplace, and Farmer John’s butcher shop, they now have stable employment and have learned valuable skills so now they can have a rich life of hope and know that their families will no longer go hungry. God always blesses, from seed to harvest, all the work of our hands.
