This is our sweet Yolanda! She will be a “leader” one day! Yolanda was born in the mountains, far away. Her father, a farmer, was killed, and her mother had just given birth to her!! With nine other children, her mother knew she could not care for another child! She was brought to our orphanage and has been here ever since.

She is “14 going on 18!” She is very mature for her age and very trustworthy! Her dream is to be a pediatrician one day! She came to me and asked if she and some of her sisters could work and earn a little money. (All Haitian kids want to save money!) Yolanda chose to work in our Birthing Center, helping to pack medicines. She never makes a mistake!! Yolanda also loves to do “praise dances!” She has gone from “tennis shoes” to heels, quickly! We love her!
