Colin… He is now 16 years old! We took Colin into our orphanage years ago, when he had heard “what his father had done to him.” When Colin was a small child (living in Miracle Village), his parents made a large pot of food for the family. But Colin, as hungry as he was, reached into the pot with a large spoon to get a “taste!”
His father was so angry with him that he “grabbed Colin’s hand” and held it down on the hot coals to teach Colin a lesson! He burned Colin’s hand so badly! We took Colin to our Clinic, had his hand treated for the burn, and then I called someone from the “Social Affairs Department,” who is over the orphanages. I explained to them what happened and that we did not want to return Colin to his father, who had already tortured him, burning his hand on the hot coals!! They told us to keep the child!
Colin has been with us ever since. His dream is to be a “Professional Engineer.” Each day, he makes sure that all the boys clean their rooms and that they do their chores!! He helps so much with the animals, etc. He is now in 10th grade, loves soccer, and wants to be an engineer! We are glad that, through the circumstances, God sent him to us! Please keep Colin in your prayers.
