Years ago, a poor Haitian father came down here to Love A Child. We had a team at that time. The Haitian father came to us with tears running down his face. His wife had just died and was holding his baby son in his arms. He cried so hard, and in Haiti, it is rare to see a man crying. He was a desperate father, and he knew he could not carry this load of having a “newborn baby.” By this time, our whole team was crying. It was a time in Haiti that I will never forget; none of us who were there will ever forget. We now had “baby Samuel” to raise. He has been the sweetest and one of the hardest-working of all our boys. His Haitian father would be so proud of his son.
