Future “Love A Child” Doctor Roselyne!

Roselyne just came back home for the weekend. She is enrolled at l’ Université INUKA in Haiti to become a doctor. We found Roselyne during a Mobile Medical Clinic in the village of Lastic. Her legs were horribly crippled, so we sent her to some local physical therapists, but we’re not sure if that helped. As she began to grow and grow, we noticed that her legs were getting straighter. She grew tall, and now, her legs are fine. She is studying to be a doctor. She has read every medical book she could get her hands; she “devoured medicine!”

Roselyne volunteered in our Jesus Healing Center, and everyone loved her! What an incredible opportunity for a young girl, born of poor parents, far in the mountains, and one who had “crooked legs!” Roselyne is a devout Christian! She is sweet, always smiling, and never says “no,” when someone needs help.

I tell all my older girls, “Forget about the boys. Keep your eyes on Jesus and education.” Haitian boys want to get a girl pregnant and then leave her with a baby, often when she is still young and in school.

I always tell them, “When you finish all your education and get a job, then look to marry someone just like Poppie!” They always get discouraged and say, “Mom, there are no guys in Haiti like Poppie!”

We love Roselyne so much!! She is a future “Love A Child” Doctor!
