Thank you… after the earthquake, we distributed tons of food to the earthquake victims. After this, we went back and distributed hundreds of camping tents to those who lost their homes in the earthquake. Now the Lord has laid upon our hearts to go back and build as many homes as possible for those who have lost everything.

Here are the latest pictures of the Gabion houses going up! We have 30 sites picked out with 10 under construction, and the next 20 starting probably next week. The wall is made from rock (inside cages) two feet thick; then, we will cover it with smooth cement. Now, we are preparing to put the roofs on. We use all local material and local labor, producing many jobs to those who have no jobs. These homes will withstand the next earthquake, and will stand a good chance against the next hurricane.

We have put these families in tents, but the tents are a temporary solution. We must get them out of the tents as soon as possible. The tents will last about one year.

I cannot express how happy and thankful the families are, especially the children! The children, along with their family, are also helping to build their own house by carrying rocks, etc. I’m so excited about this project! When we bless the poor the Lord will bless us. (Matthew 25:40) Please pray about helping. The widow’s mite is precious, and every penny counts!
