“Fonton Boulet.”

Ginyia… We believe her parents were Dominican. She is very light-skinned and beautiful, as all of our girls are. Her mother died during a C-section and her father left for the Dominican Republic. Ginyia was raised by her 17-year-old cousin, who could no longer take care of her. She took her to Social Services, and they brought her to us. She is beautiful but shy.

Ginyia’s favorite thing to do is the Praise Dances, and she is very good at that! She is now 12 and still loves jump rope and dolls. She does well in school but is still thinking about her future. All kids give each other a nickname. Hers is “Fonton Boulet” (Big Forehead!) She is a beautiful girl with big dreams.
