Have you ever carried a “heavy load?” I’m talking about a “real emotional load.”
I have always been in good health, and when traveling on foot, up the mountains of Haiti, I usually tried “stubbornly” to carry my own load! Many times the sweet Haitians would say, “Kite-m edi ou, Madamn Sherry,” or “Let me help you, Madamn Sherry,” but I wanted to prove that I could carry my heavy load. That was foolish of me!
Haitians from the mountains have been taught how to carry and balance loads on their heads, since they were small children. I did not realize back then that they really “wanted to bless me…” but I understand it now!
David said in Psalms 55:22, “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee…”
Right now, lay your heavy load down at the feet of Jesus, and give it all to Him! He “loves you!”
