That’s what one mother named her child who was born with double clubfoot… “Dieu-bon!” We first met little Dieubon and his mother during a Mobile Clinic in Haiti. (Dr. Chester was with us; he was a dear friend of ours and has since passed away.) Dr. Chester Falterman found a doctor who would do the double clubfoot surgery at no expense. Dr. Chester and his wife Debbie took care of Dieubon for several years while undergoing his surgeries.
Since then, Dieubon has been our pride and joy! He is short and the kids call him “Sponge Bob!” He is now in his last year of High School and he wants to learn computers. But until then, he will be content to go to school, work part-time as a painter, and enjoy being a “goalie” in soccer! (I think he has a secret girlfriend too!) We all love this short and funny little guy! “Dieu-bon!”
