Yonel… He was nothing but a skeleton when we found him in the mountains, during a Mobile Clinic. He was skin and bones. Both he and his small sister were brought by their grandmother to our clinic.
We knew his sister was near death, but we thought we had a chance of bringing Yonel back to life. That day, en route down the mountains, he was so hungry, that he ate nine mangos before we got home. God was good to Yonel. He had Marasmus Malnutrition which is not as dangerous as Kwashiorkor. After about a year, he began to heal.
For a while, he was on our “painting team,” until he got married! He has been married to a sweet young lady for a little over a year or more, and they have moved to the Dominican Republic. Yonel is sweet, kind, and loves the Lord, and we are so proud of him, Sherry
