Word from the Mission Field

“Better Than a GPS.”

We used to have a friend who frequently traveled to Haiti with us. She has now gone to be with the Lord. She was a good person, and loved the Lord, but she drove us nuts! She said she would have to wait until the Lord told us if she could go to Haiti… This would mean that she would wait until we were at the ticket counter and then she would purchase her ticket. She could never make a decision. She was always afraid she would get “off track.”

We all get “off track” once in a while, but that is why we have a big God! I can get lost in a paper bag! I have no sense of direction, so I count on my GPS. Even if I mess up and forget to turn, it will bring me “back on course.” That’s what the Lord does. The Spirit of the Lord is always there to guide us… “The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not ‘want’ (be in need of anything). He maketh me to lie down in ‘green pastures:’ He leadeth me beside the ‘still waters.’ He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” Psalm 23:1-3

God will always help you “make those decisions.” He will help you get “right back on track,” and keep you there. He is better than any “GPS!” I love Him! He has a full-time job keeping “Sherry on track!” That’s why I love Him so much!
