Haiti Update

I just got a message from Jesse Ostrander that Bobby and Sherry are again without internet, but Bobby has relayed some “latest news”:

They are trying to get Jackson across the border into the Dominican Republic (DR) because he needs another blood test. But yesterday, someone got shot and killed along the road, so protestors dug a huge trench the size of a semi-truck in the road. No one can pass there.

Bobby also said that in the middle of the night, a huge tanker truck came to Love A Child with diesel. Somehow, miraculously, the truck made it through all the chaos in the dark of night. So, Love A Child got the much-needed fuel just in the nick of time.

But the truck does not have a pump to offload the fuel. So, they have all this fuel and no way to get it out of the truck. They are working on solving that problem now. Farmer John has a small pump at the slaughterhouse that they are using to start pumping fuel. It will take hours.

This is a glimpse of daily life in Haiti. Please pray for the chaos to subside.
