A few miles towards the border of the Dominican Republic is a small group of Haitian soldiers. They started coming to our Love A Child project and “driving around” our compound, sometimes at night. They always tried to give us security as much as they could. We had been giving them food and water because their wages are low, and the Haitian government does not give them water or hardly any food.

We just heard that some of the food we had been giving them, they were sharing with an extremely poor village called “Belvil.” We saw the poor families lining up with their little sacks, and the soldiers were giving them food! It really blessed our hearts! Some of the soldiers were Christians. In the middle of all the violence and gangs in Haiti, God still has a way of caring for the poor. Thank you, partners, for “sharing your food” with those you haven’t met, but yet you still love them.
