Haiti is in the worst food crisis it has ever been in, since before we “moved to Haiti” in 1991. The chaos, caused by factions in the government and the rich, has affected everything in Haiti, and the poor worst of all. Also, the price of staple food items like beans and rice has risen greatly, and hardly anyone can buy anything. The only hope Haiti has is a miracle from God!

In the meantime, the poorest of the poor are struggling each day just to survive… they struggle to feed their children “one meal a day,” and that is a miracle.

If it were not for our partners sponsoring food to come to Haiti, children would be in such bad condition, and many of them “extremely malnourished,” and yes, some would die. And this would trickle down because we share food each month with over 90 other organizations who also feed children. Those of you who have given to sponsor a container of food, 272,000 meals, God will bless you! Those of you who have sacrificed to give, and given less, God will bless you as He does those who have more… And those who give the “widow’s mite,” the Lord will never forget your sacrifice. You are the only ones who give Haiti “hope.”

P.S. We just got an email from a Haitian saying that Port-au-Prince is in total chaos, and we could even call it “civil war.” These things are not caused by the poor Haitian people we work with every day, but by the gangs fighting other gangs, and everyone else. Everyone is frustrated because there are no jobs and people are desperate.
