Haiti’s Malnutrition Crisis

Dear Friends,

We wish to thank you for all your help and love this past year. Without your help, we could not have accomplished much for the Lord, but with everyone working together, we have saved many children’s lives and done much for the Kingdom of God. We wish you all a happy and blessed New Year and we know that this year will be your best! As we go into the New Year, we pray that God will give us the wisdom and understanding on how to help more children than ever before…

Haiti’s poor children are in a malnutrition crisis. Due to all the gangs on the streets, the rising price of fuel and food, Haitian children are fighting a losing battle. We have more malnourished children than ever before and when talking to other clinics, their numbers are rising.

We are so thankful for our Love A Child Malnutrition Clinic which is changing lives. There is such a difference in these children, once they have been in our clinic for a few weeks, and special formulas and good care, they begin to thrive! They smile and are happy and love to play! They then go into our “out-patient” care. This is when the mother or father picks them and takes them home with special foods. We also send a large box of the Feed My Starving Children food home to the family, so that they will not give the “special milk formula” to the rest of the children, but they can give them the nourishing Manna Packs. It is a good plan… But, our Malnutrition Clinic is growing!!!

When we first take in a child, we must send one of our workers to go back and see where the child lives, what condition they are in, and who the parents are, etc. This helps us to know more about the child and also, sometimes, the parents might want to “leave the child” and not come back!

We love our Malnutrition Clinic! It is one of our most touching outreaches! We are thankful for all our friends who help sponsor this clinic each month!!! We wish to thank all our partners who have given, prayed, and stood with us this past year! We wish you all the best this coming year and thank you for all you have done for the people and children of Haiti.
