Wow! This has been a busy month for babies!! I think most of them decided to come at the same time! Each morning, our Haitian mothers meet in the Women’s Health Center for teachings on health for moms and babies, and to get advice on birth control. The women from the mountains have many superstitious ideas about childbirth, large families, etc. We have the best “midwives” in Haiti and they “tell it like it is!” They are devout Christians, but they can really get down and talk straight to the mothers! We praise God that all of these women and babies have had the best of care!!!

I want to say a big “thank you” to Lutheran Missions Attic Workshop, Inc. for the “layettes” for the babies that they have sent in! We also want to thank the others who worked so hard to send these. We will be posting more pictures very soon!!

For each mother who has a healthy baby and delivery, that means her other children will not grow up without a mother!
