Kenzy… A Little Old Man in a Child’s Body

That’s what Kenzy looks like. This month, Kenzy will be four years old. He has been through four rough years of his little life. Kenzy’s mother died when he was born, but his father died even before that. Kenzy was abandoned. A Haitian pastor brought him to us full of sores and extremely malnourished. As he grew, when most other children were “active and mischievous,” Kenzy was sickly, frail, and quiet. When we had a further exam done, we discovered that he has sickle cell anemia. He is under constant care, even though he goes to school.

But he is not as active as the other boys are. He is always “sick with something,” but when he’s feeling good, there is no one any sweeter and any cuter than Kenzy. He always goes around with his hands in his pockets!! He is in the first grade, and we hope that he will do well.

Kenzy has a cute little grin that no one else has. He is always looking for candy from Mommie Sherry, and “if I have it, he’s got it!” We just love this “little old man” so much!
