I came outside to see one of our kids with a sandal on one foot and a tennis shoe on the other! It was Jackson, the little boy who had severe malnutrition when we found him. I said, “Jackson, why are you wearing someone else’s tennis shoe?” He said, “Well, I didn’t have any to play soccer, so Jameson lent me one of his.” I replied, “Why didn’t he lend you both tennis shoes?” And he said, “Because he’s playing soccer too!”
I called Jameson over. He is the little boy with the horrible skin condition that comes and goes. He had on the other tennis shoe and a larger tennis shoe that didn’t fit him! I said, “Jameson, I know you lent Jackson a tennis shoe to play soccer. What are you doing with your one tennis shoe and another one that is too big?” He smiled and said, “I can play with the other tennis shoe, but I didn’t have anything for my other foot, so I borrowed this one from my older ‘brother!’”
Well, it didn’t make sense to me, but everyone was playing, and everyone was happy! I went inside. They had it figured out just fine! Sherry
