Yesterday, we loaded up three trucks to go to Peyi Pouri. We took our Trooper Carrier (6-wheel drive), Defender (4-wheel drive), and our Land Cruiser (4-wheel drive). We loaded these trucks with bunk beds, mattresses, and other Haitian furniture.

Remember the story of Mr. Oske? He was the man who came to our feeding program in Gobert expecting to receive food but began sobbing and crying when he found out there was none left. We found out that his wife had died recently, leaving him with eight children to support.

One of our partners sponsored a nice little house to be built for him in Peyi Pouri. The furniture for the house was sponsored, and then someone sponsored the cost of the paint. Since Bobby was busy, Kaeli and I had to go up with our workers to see that the beds were put together and to clean the house and arrange the beds, etc., because Mr. Oske and his family will be seeing this house for the first time, tomorrow!

Halfway up the steepest area of the mountain, the Defender, loaded down with furniture, broke down! They had to have people help carry all of the furniture and also make extra trips for more stuff. After that, they had to “pull the Defender” down that dangerous mountain all the way to Fond Parisien!! (And did I forget to mention that right before we arrived up there, a large truck, full of Haitians, went over the side of the mountain? We had to have some people from our Jesus Healing Center take our 4-wheel drive ambulance and pick up three people who were about to die and take them to the hospital.) It was a rough day. Hopefully, tomorrow, everything will go well!! God bless you and thank you for your prayers. Sherry
