We are praying that things will get better for Haiti. Yesterday, I heard that The Core Group met with the government. Some other meetings happened yesterday that I don’t want to go into. I’ve heard today that things are better in some locations and worse in others. The bottom line is that the opposition is demanding that the president leave, and the president has said that he is not leaving. How long will all of this keep up? Only God knows. Please pray for Haiti. All of the protests affect everyone.

Two concerns we have here at Love A Child:

First, all of our food containers are still in Haitian Customs. Customs is closed due to all of the riots and roadblocks. We do not know when the Customs port will open again. The areas where we give food are more than desperate for the food now. Please pray!

Second, this morning at daylight, we were told not to make any more runs to the hospital. Not very far from us, there are some gangsters who have been stealing vans and robbing people. Some Haitians have been raped. We have been told that they have their eyes on our ambulance and our two vans. We have taken them off the road. I’m very sad because our ambulance is always backed up to our Birthing Center ready to go 24 hours a day. When you have a mother, who needs a C-section or has another birthing problem, the ambulance would rush her to the hospital saving her life, in most cases. The mothers at the Birthing Center really touch us. Babies come day and night.

We are working on this today. Thank you for being a part of this. Love is something you do… Bobby and Sherry
