Life in Haiti! Always Waiting…the Concrete is Coming!

MESSAGE FROM MARK OSTRANDER:

Hi Bobby. I know I told you this morning we would be pouring the floor of the new doctor’s dorm. This was based upon what the concrete company told me. 10 days ago, I called them and ordered 50 yards of concrete for this job. Last Thursday, we reconfirmed. Two days ago, we reconfirmed it again, and then yesterday, we reconfirmed it again. This morning they told me they could bring 30 yards because they didn’t have enough cement to give me the other 20 yards. I said okay, and we’ll get the other 20 yards on Thursday. Two hours later they said they were sending the trucks in 20 minutes. One hour later, they said they were getting ready to send the trucks. Now, one hour later, they said we’re not sending any trucks today… we will send you all the concrete tomorrow on Thursday. Oh well, welcome to Haiti, Mark. So, long story short, no concrete today, and hopefully, we’ll get it tomorrow.
