Little Lucson almost didn’t have a chance at life. His parents lived in the tightest mountain area that we worked in… Covant, Haiti. (This is the area where we had to ride mules to get there!) As with many mothers in Haiti, Lucson’s mother died a horrible death in childbirth. (This is why we built the Birthing Center!) His father could not care for him because he had “four hungry mouths to feed already!” He brought little Lucson down to us when he was just four days old.

Lucson is quiet, but he is smart! He loves to read, and he loves school! He knows more verses in the Bible than I do! Ha! Basketball is his favorite sport!!! He is a little ornery, but he is a good kid!! He hopes to be a “Love A Child” teacher!! Sherry
