The people of Haiti live vastly different lives than we do. There is no such thing as a stable job; they pray for work each and every day. They do not have food for tomorrow, or later in the week. They only eat when they are able to find work, but unfortunately, even then there is no guarantee. Women labor as hard as men, often being forced to do the work of two if their husband has abandoned them and their children. But these resilient people always find a way; they toil and pray without ceasing. Your gift of charity allows these desperate parents to feed their children and sustain their own bodies while they continue fighting for a better future.
