This week starts a new session of our 3-week “Sustainable Agriculture in Haiti” training class at our Agricultural Training Center (ATC) in Fond Parisien. Here you see the new group of nine students who have come from different areas around Haiti to live, learn, and fellowship together to learn new skills. These students must be sponsored by an organization doing Christian development work in Haiti. Four of these students were “sponsored” by generous and thoughtful Love A Child donors (Gracie and Maribeth) who provided funds for scholarships for those students who wanted to come, but whose organizations lacked the funds to send them. These scholarships are absolutely life-changing gifts that enable these students to learn new life skills to help them take care of their families and communities with reliable, nutritious gardens when they return home. It is hard to describe the enormous benefits, confidence, and the new hope that these training courses give the students and their families. Another donor gave toward garden tools for these students, so they will be equipped to have large community gardens when they complete their course training. The donations for scholarships and tools for these students will impact hundreds of Haitian lives for many years to come. Talk about a harvest for the Lord! Please pray about how you can help hundreds of poor Haitians with your gifts to these scholarships and tools for these eager and deserving students. We will post more news about their progress. Thank you and God bless you.
