You may recall Djonsly “Alvin Jonsley”, the sweet young man with the tumor behind his eye. His mother, a great prayer warrior, had been to many doctors in Haiti for help for her son’s eye. After much prayer, the Lord told her to take him to our clinic.

His cancer had advanced so much that it had literally pushed his eye out of its socket. There was nothing we could do, but we felt led to reach out to a wonderful hospital in Miami. They agreed to take him. Djonsly went through surgeries, chemotherapy, and much more. His visa was up, but his treatments were not. We had just gotten an appointment for him at the embassy when everything closed up in Haiti. I pray that things will open up soon so that Djonsly can return for his follow-up treatments.

He is a great student and wants to be a doctor someday! There’s no doubt he will reach his dream, Sherry
