This beautiful red leaf amaranth, often called “zepina” in Haiti, was grown right here in our Love A Child gardens! Our staff loves to eat these greens, which are cooked like spinach and used in dishes such as Haitian “legim,” a hearty vegetable stew.
Pictured are Wilner, head of our Agricultural Training Center; Widlene, our food and kitchens coordinator; Sidney, one of our best agronomists; and Kim!
We thank God for His faithful provision! From the seeds in the soil to the food on our tables. And thank YOU for supporting this wonderful ministry. Your love and generosity help keep these gardens growing and so many people fed!
