The kids have always called her “krapo,” which means frog because she has big eyes! (Nicknames for Haitian children are common and the kids don’t get offended by it!) She and her two siblings were brought to us by her aunt. We were told that her parents were trying to reach the U.S. by “Haitian boat” when it capsized! We were told that they both died. Bianca is quiet and “always reading!” She is in college here in Haiti studying psychology. She has always wanted to help those who suffer from mental illness or “heart problems caused by stress.” She has just finished her first year of college. Bianca, like all our Haitian children, really loves the Lord. They are all thankful to “you,” our friends and partners who care about them.
