You won’t believe this story, but it happens all the time. Up in the mountains, when a woman has a baby, the local ladies who deliver the baby don’t “wait on the baby to come!” Instead, they make the mothers drink a strong tea, which tears their stomach up and too often, causes death. This is Nahomia, and she is 27. She is from Peyi Pouri (in the mountains) and has already lost one baby! The matron, (the lady who delivers the babies), made her drink “pepper tea” and eat raw ginger! Her husband is a motorcycle driver. It is a miracle that this baby is alive! Our Birthing Center saves lives!
