This is Ti Mika (“Little Mika”). We had to call her Ti Mika because we have two “Mikas” at the Love A Child Children’s Home!! When I first found Ti Mika, we were doing a feeding program in a very poor village and we were filming it for our LAC TV program. In the corner of my eye, I saw a little baby sitting on the ground, eating dirt. She could have only been about nine months old. Her elderly grandma was caring for her… The grandma finally picked her up and held out a handful of rice for the baby to eat. Ti Mika was extremely malnourished.

We brought her to our Love A Child Children’s Home. Today, she is in the 6th grade and is 11 years old! The kids say that “she’s super hyper!” She is always happy and smiling. She loves to play and she’s a “fast learner!” The kids also say that she is “a little crazy,” but she wants to be a journalist when she grows up! She is a “pistol!” We all love Ti Mika, and our home wouldn’t be the same without her!!! Sherry
