Our Malnutrition Clinic never closes. Each day, we have mothers who bring their toddlers, little babies, or young children. These children are underweight and suffering from some form of malnutrition. They have a check-up, and the doctor sees them; they have to meet the criteria to be kept in our Malnutrition Center as an in-patient.
These little ones have malnutrition but they are not on the critical list, so special foods must be sent home with them. Their mothers receive these food products and then, come back in two weeks for another check-up. At this point in Haiti, sometimes the mothers cannot come because of the gangs that are in the street. We hope and pray that the Lord will bring an end to this gang violence that affects the poor.
