I know that I have shared Nelson’s story with you before, but he is such a miracle that I must share it again. The first time we saw Nelson was in a mud hut village! There was a huge hog near a hut. But a couple minutes later, a lady came out of her mud hut holding an infant by one arm! She dropped the small child right on the ground beside the hog!! There was no one to watch him!
The toddler was hot and thirsty. He could not walk, and his parents really didn’t want him! I picked him up and he wrapped his arms around my neck! When I saw his mother, I asked her if I could take him home to try to teach him how to walk! She agreed!
With the help of a friend and a “tricycle,” he began to walk! Then, he began to run! Then, when he would see Poppie Bobby, he would run and jump into his arms! We kept Nelson! He is sweet, obedient, and does well in school! I learned “never to judge a book by its cover!” There’s a God watching us, and He wants us to help the poor! Nelson is a miracle! Sherry
