This pretty young lady is Hannah Jean Jules. She lived in the poor village of Demesseau. Her mother died when she was a baby and Pastor Emmanuel brought her to our Love A Child Orphanage. Hannah was suffering from severe malnutrition and in very poor health when she arrived. It didn’t take long for her new brothers and sisters to start giving her lots of “tender loving care.” She also received three nutritious meals each day, and soon she was “healthy!” Hannah loves to play music and she also enjoys playing with dolls. Thank you partners for changing another life in Haiti! May God bless you! Bobby and Sherry
Bobby and Sherry’s Travels: 11-23-2015 3:30 PM
Sherry and I are traveling to meet our family today. Tomorrow we will travel to Zion National Park to spend Thanksgiving with our two children and grandchildren. We have been looking forward to this special time together with our family. We will send you pictures of us in Zion National Park. On Monday, we will return to Haiti to our Haitian family. We love you. Bobby and Sherry
Update on Shalken: 11-23-2015 8:00 AM
The dermatologist Dr. Cairns just called Shalken’s host mother (Beth Nolan) with some encouraging news. The official diagnosis is not calcinosis as we originally thought, but “Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM).” The doctors will start by giving him his immunizations and then building up his body before giving him steroids. (The steroids will eventually be tapered off.) He will also need to be accepted by Shriners Hospital as part of his treatment, but the doctors seem very hopeful that with steroids and some surgery, he can have a better quality of life!! What a miracle! Sherry
Word from the Mission Field – 11-23-15
“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” Psalm 32:8 – Let God show you the way you should go today. He knows the future and He will guide you. Be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Have a blessed day. Bobby
Update on Jean Edwouard: 11-22-2015 3:00 PM
You may remember Jean Edwouard who came to us after being rescued from life as a slave child (Restavec). His parents had died in a hurricane near Fond Parisien and he was taken to live with relatives in Le Tant. Sherry convinced his relatives that he would have a better life if she could take him to the Love A Child Orphanage. There are so many children in Haiti that end up in the slave trade. Jean Edwouard is one of the lucky ones. He is doing really well in school, and loves to play soccer. Thank you to our partners for saving another life in Haiti. Bobby and Sherry
Visitors at LAC: 11-22-2015 9:00 AM
We were so happy to have Pastor Josh from Pensacola, FL and Pastor Randy Landis, from Allentown, PA, along with some folks from his church with us last evening. His Music Director Jonathan sang the house down with our children! We rocked for Jesus! The glory came down! Our children were so happy. We were so excited that we forgot to take pictures! Bobby
Word from the Mission Field: 11-22-2015 6:00 AM
I’m sitting here in Haiti at 3:55 AM this morning. Sherry and I had a gospel radio station on from America. I just heard a preacher say people are going to hell because they are not politically correct. We just had to laugh. Never heard that before! We miss heaven by not being washed by the blood of Jesus, by being born again. Jesus said: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.“ John 3:3 — Pray that you know the Lord today. Have a blessed Sunday! Bobby
Mobile Medical Clinic – Lastik: 11-21-2015 10:00 AM
We want to thank our Love A Child partners who helped sponsor this Mobile Medical Clinic in the mountains of Lastik, Haiti. This was a very productive clinic, and we wish to thank Debbie Click, Rita Liebelt, Shelly Perkins, Sherry King, Vicki Evans, Ken Fraser, Dan and Dr. Debbie Chen, Connie Vinck, Dr. Pat Webster, Evie Ostrander, our Love A Child missionary Kaeli Fletcher, Barbara MacMannis, and Carlos, our team host. We had our great Haitian staff with us too! We treated 1,449 patients, distributed 7,640 medications, gave out 89 pairs of eyeglasses, and we had 27 conversions! We had to send a number of children to our Love A Child Malnutrition Center, one emergency of high blood pressure to the hospital, and a lady with breast cancer to another hospital. God bless everyone! Sherry
Sharing food with the poor: 11-21-2015 8:00 AM
Finding food is a crisis here in Haiti. Many parents have to “boil water” and then add salt and some leaves they may find to it. For some, this is all they have to eat. There are few jobs for the poor, and there is little water, so crops can’t grow. School feeding programs save lives. This is one of the schools that we share our food with each month at Pastor Harry Alexander’s Project One Academy, which is very far from us. “Thank you partners!” Every penny counts! God richly bless you! Bobby and Sherry

“But without faith it is impossible to please him…” Hebrews 11:6 — If we want to please God today, let Him see our faith in Him. Faith pleases the Lord. Let’s stop doubting, complaining, and wondering, is God going to do it? Yes, He is – the answer is on the way!! Bobby
