“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6 (NIV) – Stress and anxiety are very big issues in our world today. But God’s Word has the answer for every situation. Pray, be thankful and trust God. It’s going to be all right! Bobby
Sharing our food – 10-01-15
Jesus loves the little children of the world… whether they are rich, poor, abused, mistreated, or handicapped. He loves them all. Each month, we help feed these children at Melissa’s Hope, because of the love of our partners. We must bring in eight “forty-foot containers of food each month” to meet the demands of hungry and helpless children. However, we only have committed support for two each month. It costs Love A Child $10,000 to get each container of this donated food from the States all the way to Haiti and to our Love A Child Village. Pray about helping us feed hungry children. God bless you. Sherry
Mike Welch, Bobby and Sherry – 10-01-15
Sherry and I had a brief meeting with Mike Welch, President of Harrison Poultry, Inc., before going back to Haiti. Mike, Michael and Rebeca also own the best barbecue restaurant in Winder or anywhere else in Georgia! When we walked in, I could not believe how he was dressed! Ha! God bless Mike, Larry and their friends for providing so much help with our Chicken Co-op Sustainability Project. We are helping Haitians to help themselves! Love is something you do! Bobby
Reducing water usage: 10-1-2015 2:00 PM
Dave Balsbaugh, who manages all of our sustainability projects in Haiti, is teaching Haitians how to use what is available to grow plants and save water. He also oversees our “Poul Mirak” (chicken project), our Fish Farm and many other projects. In these photos, he is showing Haitians the process of converting wastewater to reduce water usage by over 90 percent at our Fish Farm. David is one of our Love A Child Missionaries, living by FAITH here in Haiti! God bless David and his family. Sherry
Donation of new stretcher: 10-1-2015 10:00 AM
We are so thankful to Fameworld.org! They recently donated three stretchers to Love A Child, which will be used for emergency transports to hospitals and for disasters here in Haiti. We are so thankful! A special thanks to John Boldt for making the connection with Fameworld.org to make this all happen! Bobby and Sherry
A Child Suffering from Kwashiorkor Malnutrition: 10-1-2015 8:00 AM
Barbara MacMannis is the Medical Administrator of our Jesus Healing Center. She is not only the Administrator, but also a great missionary that shares God’s word every morning. She received this baby at the Jesus Healing Center that was dying of Kwashiorkor Malnutrition. The mother had come for help too late. We had to pay for her to be sent to a hospital. Sherry
Word from the Mission Field – 10-01-15
“When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.” Luke 5:6-7 – Partnership is so important. Thank you for helping us fill the nets for the Lord. Have a “boat-sinking” blessed day! Bobby
Widlene – 09-25-15
You may remember Widlene. Her mother was very sick and thought she was dying, so she brought Widlene and her baby sister Esther to the orphanage. Bobby and I sent Widlene’s mother to the hospital and she soon recovered. When she got out of the hospital, we gave her a job here at Love A Child. Widlene has been a joy to have at the orphanage and she is growing into a smart and beautiful young lady. She loves going to school and helps with all of our younger children. This is another changed life in Haiti. Thank you partners for standing with us. May God bless you. Bobby and Sherry
Mystery Man: 9-30-2015 4:00 PM
I walked into a restaurant today and saw this man! Do you know who he is? Find out tomorrow along with more information. Bobby
New Clothes for the children: 9-30-2015 12:00 PM
We will continue to “clothe the naked,” as Jesus has told us. We are so thankful for our precious partners who sit for hours and make new clothes by hand for these precious, poor children of Haiti! God bless our sweet missionaries, like Kaeli Fletcher, who have dedicated their lives to serving the poor! Sherry
