From the Mision Field: 9-27-2014 6:30 AM

Have you been facing a mountain that you are unable to cross? Do you feel that you are in a battle all by yourself? “No weapon that is formed against thee, shall prosper…” Isaiah 54:17 – Bobby and I have had some major weapons thrown at us in these many years. Some have been voodoo curses like a small wooden coffin that was placed on the road in front of Love A Child here in Haiti. These cannot hurt us and no weapon formed against you, even that jealous person, shall prosper! Have a great day! Sherry

Update on Baby Elijah: 9-26-14 8:45 AM

We had to take Baby Elijah to see his neurologist for his follow-up exam. Love A Child’s pediatrician, Dr. Mardy, seems to think he is deaf and blind, and he also suffers with spastic movements. The neurologist was happy with the shunt surgery area, which is healing very well. However, he is worried that the meningitis he had earlier may not have healed in time and possibly infected the abdomen where the shunt drains the fluid from his brain. His naval does not look very good. Baby Elijah is back in the hospital and being treated with antibiotics before having surgery on his naval. We will know more about his condition in the next few days. Sherry

Word from the Mission Field – 09-25-14

“If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:14) “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.” (James 1:6) So, you can ask, but don’t waver when you ask. What’s on your heart today? What mountain are you facing? ASK, and believe that the Lord will do it, but don’t waver. God bless you, Sherry

Sharing our Food in Gonaïves: – 9-24-2014 2:30 PM

Would you feed Jesus if He came to your door? Remember, He could be dressed as a beggar or a hungry child?

“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” – Matthew 25:40  – This chapter tells us that when we feed “one of the least we are feeding Jesus.” This is a very powerful message! We share our food each month with Pastor Genada, who feeds these little children in Gonaïves, Haiti, whom Jesus told us to feed. Blessings, Sherry

Colin and the Handful of Food – 9-23-2014 10:00PM

This is Colin. He was first brought to us because his father, an evil man, had gotten angry with him because Colin had eaten a handful of rice. Colin lives with his stepmother and nine other children. She had fixed a pot of rice for all the children. Colin was still hungry so he stuck his little hand in the kettle for more food. His father grabbed him and said, “You are a thief and I will teach you a lesson!” He held Colin’s hand down in the hot charcoals until the skin fell off. We have been taking care of him. He has healed now and is going to school. And he can eat all the food he wants! Sherry
