Today is February 7th! Today, a new president is supposed to be sworn in here in Haiti! This can’t happen because Haiti’s Prime Minister had no elections in Haiti last November, as promised.
Former rebel leader Guy Philippe, along with many tens of thousands of Haitians across the whole country, are demanding the ousting of Prime Minister Ariel Henry.
Today is the day Prime Minister Ariel Henry must go, or “the government will be taken over by Guy Philippe,” his supporters are saying. Personally, I have not met one Haitian who wants Prime Minister Henry to stay in power.
Everyone has had enough of the gangs trying to take over the country and many thousands of Haitians losing their homes to the gangs; people not being able to have a decent business… no one is safe here.
Things are very bad here, especially today. I pray there is no bloodshed.
Please pray for the Haitian people, especially the innocent Haitian children.
