Rebecca. What can we say? She is 13 and in 7th grade. She is just “beautiful!” Her favorite thing is the “Praise and Dance” team! She knows all the steps, exactly! Rebecca is built like an athlete, she is strong. She loves sports, but yet, she will jump rope with the little girls. Music is one of her loves… but her favorite love is all her “sisters” and “brothers.” They have given her a nickname, “duck!”

She has the most beautiful long, thick, wavy hair. Her skin color resembles Dominican. She is a great student and wants to be a dentist. It seems like just yesterday that our director here in Haiti, heard that there was a little three-year-old girl about to be “sold” as a restavek slave child. He interrupted that sale and brought her to us, and the Department of Social Services gave her to us.

When she smiles, she lights up the room, she is such a “gift from God!!” We love her very, very much!!
