Their Little Personalities are Developing

We love our wonderful clinic and our beautiful Birthing Center, but those babies in our Malnutrition Center are so sweet. As their health gets better, they develop little personalities. We have in-patients who stay with us until they reach their desired weight. We also have about 50 “out-patients” at this time.

We had a new little baby girl come in, and she is doing quite well now. When the babies first come in, they are so thin (marasmus) or so “puffy” with kwashiorkor. They are not moving or playful. They are just in total misery.

We have a special F-75 milk formula we give them. (Special thanks to Real Hope for Haiti, who donated that last batch we received). We also have to give them lots of the special “peanut butter” food that was donated to us.

We are thankful for everything. We really would love to have someone donate a large quantity of Plumpy Nut.” This is a special formula for malnourished babies. You have to order it online. If you would like to do this, please let us know. You can have the Plumpy Nut sent to our office in Fort Myers, and they will send it to us here in Haiti. Plumpy Nut is expensive, but it works!

Thank you, and may God bless you!!!

PS Bobby and I are here in the Dominican Republic with Dieuferly and our drivers, Philemond and Joker. Today, we meet with a specialist concerning Dieuferly’s feet. We don’t know if we will need to see a different doctor tomorrow or not. We’re asking for prayers.
