Samuel is one of the sweetest, most hard-working teens you have met. He is “always looking for work!” I can remember the day we took him home.

We were in the mountains having a Mobile Clinic when a poor Haitian father came to us with tears running down his face. His wife had just died in childbirth. Still crying with all his heart, he explained that he had no way of taking care of a new baby in the mountains, with no money to buy milk or food. He already had six hungry mouths to feed. I took the baby from my arms and watched as tears rolled down the face of this poor mountain farmer.

We took him home to our orphanage and named him Samuel. Samuel is now 17, works as a painter, but wants to be an electrician. He loves music and soccer! He is finishing his last year of school. Samuel has been a blessing!!
