We know everyone has heard of and seen on TV the stories of the gangs in Haiti and the missionary couple who lost their lives. But poor babies, toddlers, and poor children in Haiti are dying from hunger and malnutrition as a result of the gangs. These are things they “don’t talk about on TV.”

Angeline is just one of the statistics from a long line of toddlers, babies, and children who are dying in Haiti each day from hunger and starvation. Since birth, Angeline’s parents had left her with her grandma, who already had nine 9 children. There was never enough food for the family of 11! Due to the problems of gangs on the streets, the grandma was not always able to get to a safe area to sell and make enough food for Angeline and the rest of the children. Her grandmother finally heard someone say, “Take her to Love A Child or she will die!”

It will be a long road to recovery for Angeline because she must drink special milk and eat special foods designed for children like her. As soon as she reaches a good weight, she will be able to eat the special “Feed My Starving Children” food! Once she eats this food, you will not even recognize her!
