Pastor Souffrance and his church have been working hard to build the house for Mr. Oske and his children.

You may remember him as the man who wanted a box of food for his children, and he had “come too late” to the distribution. We found a box of food for him and when we heard his horrible story of trying to take care of 8 children, (after his wife died), we felt that God would have us help him. One of our partners heard about this story and sponsored a house to be built for him and his children.

He will have enough land to grow a garden and keep all his children with him, (he sent four out as “restavek slaves” to other relatives because he could not feed them all). They will all go to Pastor Souffrance’s church and our Love A Child School in Peyi Pouri. The foundation is laid down now, and we believe the house will go up “rapidly.” We will keep you posted!

Never think that “your gift is too small…” This whole dream began “with just one box of food!” Imagine what would have happened, if that little boy in the Bible had felt that his “five loaves and two fishes” were too small for the crowd of 5,000?
