Lovely is a very unusual young lady. When we first took Lovely into our orphanage, her mother had a disease, and her father could not care for her.
She is a brave and determined young woman. She has passed school even with severe health issues. She is also anemic and must eat certain foods daily. But although she is frail, she is in her first year of college, taking “Communications” in French. This is very important for someone who wants to study law in Haiti! She wants to become an attorney to “defend the poor.” This has been her dream, even when she was volunteering at our Birthing Center.
We love “Lovely!” Her mother chose a good name for her because she is lovely inside and out!
