Shy Bianca, “Krapo”

All the children here at Love A Child love each other like brothers and sisters and they give each other nicknames! They do not get mad at nicknames or offended or cry, they just naturally accept any nicknames given to them by their brothers and sisters. This tiny, beautiful, young lady, Bianca, is just a sweetie. The kids call her “Krapo,” which means, frog… because she has big eyes! She is naturally beautiful and so sweet.

She is one of the few who choose to stay in their room and study, rather than play soccer or basketball. She is “always in her room.” She is very shy and has the “voice of an angel.” We have only heard her sing a solo one time and we all stood to our feet clapping, in amazement! But, she is so shy she cannot even think of singing in front of a church! She will be in her last of high school this coming fall, which is Philo. After that, she will choose a medical college. She wants to be a “surgeon!” I can remember driving around with the girls in my truck and seeing Bianca in the back seat, sewing up a stuffed animal. She did that quite a bit… of course, she would have to “tear the stuffed animal apart,” in order to sew it back together!!! She thinks, and dreams of being a surgeon! Bianca also loves to cook!!

Over the summer, all the older girls had to choose a place to “volunteer.” Bianca wanted to volunteer at our Jesus Healing Center so she has been working Triage, taking blood pressures, and being as close to the doctors to learn anything she could. I wish you could visit us in Haiti and see the hunger in the eyes of these children, to “reach for the stars,” and dream a big dream of going to college! I know Bianca will be a success! Thank you, partners, for “pouring into” these children, the future of Haiti. Thank you, those of you who already contributed to our College Fund with a gift, large or small! You are sewing into “good soil!” We truly love Bianca!
