Dieubon is a funny little guy. All of our Haitian kids have nicknames, so this is “SpongeBob.” Dieubon came to us when we discovered that he had club feet. He was a small child then. We sent him to the States and some friends of ours, Doc and Debbie, took care of him during and after the surgeries. They discovered that he had spina bifida, and he has had surgery for that as well. He has returned to Haiti. He has finished most of his schooling, but he “loves to work!” He will get up at 4:00 a.m. and go for a long walk, and then he’ll go to work! He is on our “painting team.” They are currently painting the new Jesus Healing Center. Dieubon is a funny little guy with a square body and short legs, but he can “really move” when he wants to. He is quiet and doesn’t say a lot, but he is funny! He is hardworking and honest! I keep telling him to “cut his beard!” I think I’m going to buy him an electric razor and see if that “encourages him.” We love Dieubon! His name means “God is good!” Sherry
