The majority of Haiti’s children work long, hard hours gathering and carrying wood or water, and working in dry, rocky gardens. They have “dreams” of going to school, but they are only dreams unless someone sponsors them to go to school. It is so very, very sad to see these children work all day on empty stomachs while they hear the sounds of laughter from school children, or smell the food cooking and cannot eat it.
