It is hard for us to imagine having to choose between food and medical care. But, this happens every day here in Haiti. Poor Haitian mothers with sick babies will wait until they are full of disease or near to death because the choice is always between food and medical help.

We saw this little baby in our “crowded” Jesus Healing Center yesterday. The baby had a horrible skin disease, impetigo, or something similar, and was in misery crying constantly. His worried young mother looked on with tears coming from her eyes. We told her, “You have come from far, but you have come to the right place! We will give your baby good medicine and love!”

Then, we explained to the mother how to wash the bed sheets or rags where her baby was sleeping, “with soap and Clorox and put them in the sun.”

Each day, we have so many patients that we are so crowded it is hard to work! By faith, we are building a new “Jesus Healing Center” to serve more poor patients. We are thankful each month to have the support of Joyce Meyer Ministries — Hand of Hope to cover the operating cost of our clinic.

By faith, we are building a new Jesus Healing Center… but, faith doesn’t know we don’t have the money!
