Madamn Germaine was determined to have her baby in our Birthing Center! She made that trip in two hours on the back of a donkey and another hour on a motorcycle, down one of the toughest, rockiest roads in Haiti!! Can you imagine?

She had painful contractions on the back of the donkey for those two hours! Fortunately, she arrived in time at our Birthing Center by the grace of God. After her care by the midwives, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy without too many difficulties, and in a clean, beautiful Birthing Center, fit for a princess! Thank you, partners!

P.S. Another trip via motorcycle with a baby in her arms for hours, and then, on the back of a donkey, to her little mud hut! A brave and happy mother!
