“I’m a Little Blessing!”
We just love our Birthing Center! It is especially wonderful because of our women’s health training and teaching on birth control. We have the best “midwives” and staff!! The Birthing Center is like a home…it is quiet and peaceful, and even has rocking chairs on the porch for the “worried fathers!” And just look at these little sweeties…They have “onesies” donated by one of our partners, and in Creole, it says, “I’m a Little Blessing!” We wish to thank our wonderful partner for this precious gift! Another partner donated all of these “handbags!” (Haitian women love handbags and sacks to carry stuff!)
And yet more blessings… Special thanks to MAP International for donating the “pregnancy vitamins!” Poor Haitian women are not in good health. What little bit of money they manage to get always goes for food for the family. As a result, the moms are in bad health and their daughters will be in bad health too… A pregnant mom in bad health usually means that she will leave behind an orphaned baby. So thank you so, so much, MAP!
I just love these pictures that were taken by Dieuferly, our Love A Child photographer, who is also one of our LAC kids!

P.S. I forgot to tell you… When Bobby and I saw these cute little babies in their “blessing” onesies, Bobby said, “Sherry, look at these babies. They all have cute little ‘oozies’ that say ‘I’m a Little Blessing!'” I said “Bobby, those are not oozies! Drug lords have oozies! Those are onesies!” (Ha! What do men know!) Sherry
