We arrived here in Rome, Italy at 7:15 this morning! We’ll be seeing Florence tomorrow. She will come and stay with us this week until we leave Friday for Haiti. Tomorrow, we’ll be sending you pictures of all of us and what Rome looks like… beautiful!
We’ve raised Florence since she was a small, little, tiny girl when her mother died. She has put forth a great effort to graduate from college here on her semi-scholarship. Her apartment is one hour and 30 minutes from college. She must take a train to and from college each day. In Rome, she must attend her classes starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending each day at 7:00 p.m. then, catch the train an hour and a half back to her apartment… then do her homework. She made a very high score on her thesis. We are so proud of her. We had to come and “back her up,” as a family. She has no one here. We are family… Thank you to everyone who had a part in this. “Love is something you do!”
