Today, our Haitian crew traveled to the garbage dump of Truttier, Haiti, to distribute food to the starving families.

The people are desperate and hungry because of the current food crisis. This Sunday is Mother’s Day in Haiti, and many of the mothers would have had nothing to eat without the food we brought to them today. When we arrived at the dump, they all said how much they appreciated us taking the risk to come to see them and bring them food.

The violence in the area has kept us from providing food to these poor people for that past several months. The president of the garbage dump said, “Love A Child is helping more people than they know. God will reward them for what they did today.” One mother said that she was recently robbed at gunpoint and has nothing left. It’s only because of the box of food that Love A Child brought today that she will be able to feed her daughter.
