Daniel and Daniella are twins. I wrote about Daniella the other day. She is “prissy,” shy, demure, well dressed, and makes good grades in school! She loves to sing Christian music. These two were supposed to be “triplets,” but when political problems hit Haiti, their mother tried to get to the General Hospital and men with guns would not let her in. She returned to her humble hut and gave birth to twins but died with the third baby.

Daniel, Daniella’s brother, was so small when he was born that we thought he would never live. He looked like a tiny rat! Daniel and Daniella are going to turn 16 years old this month and are in the 8th grade. Daniel loves his sister and always wants to be with her. As many Haitians do, they are always holding hands and walking or talking! They are always together. Daniel would give his life for his sister! He wants to be a mechanic! He is so protective of his sister… Just wait until she’s older and has a boyfriend!! Ha! That will be something! Sherry
